Technological Revamping at La Spezia Port: Membrane Replacement and SWInt Integration

SWI Group is proud to announce its contribution to a major technological revamping project at a terminal in La Spezia Port. At the heart of the intervention is the replacement of the membranes in the biological membrane system, used for vehicle washing, alongside the integration of SWInt technology for water monitoring. This modernization marks a crucial step toward a more efficient and sustainable management of water resources.
The entire system operates in a closed circuit, reusing treated water for vehicle washing operations.Il progetto si realizza in un impianto a circuito chiuso, dove le acque trattate vengono reimpiegate per il lavaggio dei mezzi operativi.

New Membranes for Optimal Performance

The biological membrane system, essential for treating wastewater from vehicle washing, will be equipped with state-of-the-art membranes, offering improved performance and reliability compared to those currently in use.
This upgrade represents a high-value technical intervention aimed at optimizing the plant's performance and enhancing its long-term sustainability.

SWInt Integration: Technological Innovation for Data Management

As part of the facility’s modernization, the integration of advanced SWInt technology will bring significant innovations. During the membrane replacement, this digital system for continuous monitoring and intelligent plant management will be installed.
SWInt will enable real-time collection and analysis of critical data, such as:
  • Water pH levels: ensuring operational efficiency of the biological plant by detecting anomalies early and maintaining optimal purification performance.

  • Filling levels of the plant sections: essential for monitoring treatment efficiency and ensuring adequate storage capacity during meteorological events.

SWInt stands out for its rapid installation and seamless integration with existing facilities. Its predictive management capabilities not only minimize operational risks but also significantly reduce maintenance costs, making the terminal safer and more efficient.

A More Efficient and Sustainable Terminal

By combining new membranes with SWInt technology, the terminal will be able to manage both wastewater and rainwater in an integrated and efficient way. This intervention will not only improve the quality of water treatment but also represent a key step forward in the environmental sustainability of the port area.

Moreover, the entire system will be remotely manageable via a proprietary SCADA panel that is both intuitive and reliable.

Looking to the Future with Innovation and Responsibility

At SWI Group, every project is an opportunity to merge technological innovation with sustainability. With this intervention, we reaffirm our commitment to delivering cutting-edge solutions that address today’s challenges with a forward-looking perspective.

We are proud to contribute to transforming this port terminal into a model of efficiency and environmental respect, tackling each challenge with dedication and long-term vision.
